Google additionally makes its chips for Chromebooks
After its first own chips for smartphones, Google also comes with its chips for Chromebook laptops.
Google is fostering its chips for Chromebooks, the affordable laptops with the Chrome OS system, as a replacement for the chips from Intel, AMD and MediaTek. This is reported by the Japanese newspaper Nikkei.
In doing so, Google would follow the example of Apple, which has been providing Macs with its M1 chip since last year and has recently started selling iPads with the M1 chip. By 2022, all Macs should ship with the Apple chips and no longer with Intel chips.
