Rutte: “It cannot be excluded that coronavirus is spreading further.”

“The whole of the Netherlands sympathizes with the people who are affected by the coronavirus, but also with their family and environment.” Prime Minister Mark Rutte says that. “There is also a lot of respect for the incredibly hard work of the RIVM, the GGDs and the GPs.”

The government is preparing itself for the virus to spread further. “That cannot be excluded,” according to the prime minister. “And we have to take measures for that.”

He adds that the government is in contact with experts from, for example, the RIVM. “This requires such an expert approach that you always have to rely on the compass of people who know what it’s like.”
